The Martial Art Fitness Centers offers classes for law enforcement professionals. Training is hands-on and includes:

Edged Weapons
This class teaches the officer to control their distance, avoid at a safe angle, control the weapon, incapacitate the attacker, and disarm the attacker.

Weapon Retention
In this class the officer learns to maintain control of his own weapon, take down and incapacitate the attacker, and disarm an assailant armed with a firearm.

Blunt Weapons Defense
This class teaches the officer to control their distance, avoid at a safe angle, control the weapon, incapacitate the attacker, and disarm the attacker.

Basic Defensive Tactics
Here the officer learns effective techniques against an unarmed assailant. You will learn effective avoiding, blocking, striking, joint locks, throws, and handcuffing positions.

Firearms Defense
This class teaches the officer to control their distance, avoid at a safe angle, control the weapon, incapacitate the attacker, and disarm the attacker.

Ground Fighting Tactics
In this class you will learn how to conserve energy, use effective positioning, reversals, and submission holds.

NOTE:
All classes provide training in reality-based scenarios with both rehearsed and unrehearsed situations. All classes focus on the officer maintaining personal safety and survival, maintaining the safety and survival for parties present, and to effectively disarm and arrest the armed assailant.
