GM Song and Mr. Strissel

Korea Trips

I have been able to travel to Korea to see the culture and train first hand with Korean Masters. The first trip I took was in October of 2000 where the majority of the stay was in Seoul. On this trip I had the chance to train with GM Lee, Sauk Kyu and Master Lim, Bai Hoon in SimKiDo. GM Lee also taught a session in Yudo for a couple of us on this trip. I also trained with GM Song, Master Kim Joung Sung, and Master Kim Jong Gu in Simmudo. I also had training with Kim, Yung Tae working with the 4' staff.

The second trip I took was in October of 2004 hosted by GM Song. On this trip we stayed in Shiheung City and had the opportunity to train with GM Song and Master Kim Joung Sung, Master Pahk Ki Shik, Master Kim Hwan Won, and Master Choi Myung Jae all of whom are GM Song's Master level students. This training entailed Taekwondo, WTF Poomse, military combat staff, and Hoshinsul.
